Adoption is the product, not the platform.
Pre-Implementation Diagnostic — a structured intake system for Monday.com Implementation Consultants
01
Structured intake interview
20-30 minute conversational assessment covering workflow, team structure, use case type, data relationships, automation appetite, integration requirements, success criteria, and organizational context.
02
Workflow complexity scoring
Scores the engagement on four dimensions and recommends a starting architecture pattern.
Data complexity
Simple records vs. linked items, mirror columns, cross-board dependencies
Automation depth
No automation vs. conditional logic and integrations
Team surface area
Single team vs. cross-functional portfolio view
Integration load
Standalone vs. CRM-connected, API-dependent
03
Adoption risk detection
Maps intake signals to six risk categories. Each flag includes the signal that triggered it and a recommended pre-build conversation.
Spreadsheet culture
Deep data ownership habits, resistance at reporting layer
Tool fatigue
Prior platform failure, trust deficit to address
Missing process owner
Driver lacks authority over the workflow being changed
Misaligned success criteria
Stated goals don't match described process
Automation overreach
Client wants to automate steps requiring human judgment
Integration dependency
Success depends on external system the client doesn't control
04
Generate structured brief
The system produces two outputs that shape every decision downstream.
Workflow Complexity Score
Recommends one of four architecture patterns: Simple Board, Relational Structure, Multi-Board with Automation, or Full Integration Play. Anchors the conversation without locking the decision.
Adoption Risk Profile
Names the specific change management landmines before they detonate. Each flagged risk comes with a recommended conversation, not a recommendation to pause.
05
Consultant review & client framing
The consultant reviews the brief, adjusts any scoring that doesn't match their read, and shares it with the client as a framing document. The diagnostic becomes the engagement's starting contract: here is what we understand, here is the architecture we recommend, and here are the risks we will manage together.
